Two princess party themes for my twin daughters. It wasn’t an easy task, but I managed to pull it off with out any major hitches. My almost three year old twin daughter’s birthday date was approaching quickly. They both know who their very favorite Disney Princess is and that is who they wanted to be their birthday party theme. Unfortunately for me, they both had a different Disney Princess in mind. One loves Snow White and the other loves Belle from Beauty and The Beast. What’s a mother to do? Host a party around both princesses, of course!
There are lots of Snow White birthday party supplies and not too many from Belle or Beauty and the Beast, so we went with the easy choice on the supplies. I went with the Disney Princesses party supplies package. It has lots of Princesses on each plate, cup and napkin. I bought some Snow White napkins and dessert plates to have some just Snow White supplies there. I did, however, buy each girl a Princess costume…one of Belle and one of Snow White. So that cemented which princess wanted which theme for everyone at the party.
We did cupcakes instead of a traditional birthday cake. It was easier for me since I was trying to work with two themes. (thank goodness for the Disney Princess party supplies!) I ordered edible cake images and asked the seller if they could make them half Belle and half Snow White. They said yes, so that made my cupcake decorating ideas work out just perfectly. I baked the cupcakes the day before the party and frosted them. I put the edible cake toppers right on top of them and they looked great.
I gave out the Disney Princess party favor box as a thank you to all our little party guests. The older guests will have to enjoy the party pictures with them in it…when I get around to sending them all out. It is not easy to be the perfect hostess when you have three year old twins to take care of. Thank goodness, most of my friends understand that!
We played some princess games I found at a fun party website and I named half of them for Snow White and half for Belle. That made both of my little girls very happy and it was so easy to think of fun names for the simple, classic party games of Simon Says, Pin the Tail, Musical Chairs and Freeze Dance. These games are perfectly suited for the three year old party crowd. Simon Says became Belle Says, Pin the Tale became Pin the Crown on Snow White…you get it, right?
I also printed out some free Snow White coloring pages and some free Beauty and the Beast coloring pages and got out the crayons. The party ended with all the kids winding down by coloring the free pages. Coloring is an easy way to let the kids settle down after some rowdy party games. I don’t know one child who doesn’t like to color!
A great party tip for all you at home party planners out there…plan more games and activities for the kids than you think you will need. It is always better to plan for more than it is to not have enough activities to keep the kids busy! We had a great time at our double princess birthday party and I was saved by the Disney Princess party supplies.
